Education for employment in the Arab world
Last year, in partnership with the IFC and the Islamic Development Bank, McKinsey undertook a major research effort to explore the issue of youth unemployment in the Arab World. The Arab World is overwhelmingly young with the highest youth unemployment in the world. On top of this, education systems are not adequately preparing young people for the jobs that exist. Recent events across the region have amplified the social and economic disconnect between skills and jobs. This video explores this issue and offers insight into how we may begin addressing these challenge.
